Water Quality Advisory in Fernie Rescinded

The City of Fernie says a Water Quality Advisory for the community has been rescinded.
Current testing shows water quality is “good” at its Fairy Creek source.
The Water Quality Advisory had been active in Fernie since April 12.

Effective immediately, the City of Fernie has rescinded the Water Quality Advisory issued April 12, 2023.
Current testing indicates the water quality is “GOOD” at the Fairy Creek Source with turbidity levels less than 1 NTU.
The City will remain on it’s primary drinking water source, Fairy Creek, and is continuing to monitor and test elevated selenium levels at our back-up source, James White Wells.
